1000 Books Before Kindergarten encourages you to read 1,000 books with your child before he or she enters school. Reading together helps develop important pre-reading skills that provide a solid foundation that is key to school and learning success. Plus, sharing stories together is fun! It’s easy to get started.
  • Here’s how the program works:
    • Register at the library circulation desk.
    • Read with your child.
    • Record the titles on your log found here or for pdf log here.
    • When you finish 100 books, bring your log to the library and receive a small prize.
    • Repeat steps 1-3 for each 100 books.
