April’s book is entitled Uncommon Grounds by Sandra Balzo. In her delightful debut, Balzo’s novel concerns divorcee Maggy Thorsen and two of her friends who want to open a coffee shop, Uncommon Grounds, in the small Wisconsin town of Brookhills. That is, until one of them shows up dead on the floor of the coffee shop. The Chicago Tribune writes that Balzo “has a sharp and amusing skill that convinces us that this is real life and that it matters.
Come to the Library on Saturday, April 12 at 1pm to hear paranormal researcher and popular Wisconsin author Chad Lewis.
